"It might be time for you to start therapy if you: feel like you want to know yourself better, need a space to vent or process difficult emotions, want to improve your relationship patterns, are struggling with hurts from the past."

FAQs

How much does therapy cost?

Individual sessions (for children, adolescent, and adults) cost $140 per 50 minute session. Couples sessions cost $150 per 50 minute session.

Do you accept insurance?

I do accept Cal Viva insurance, but my insurance slots are currently filled. If you have insurance such as Blue Cross or Blue Shield PPO, I am an out of network provider and offer a superbill for you to submit to your insurance to seek reimbursement. You would pay for the session fee up front, and receive reimbursement from your insurance (dependent on your insurance plan) after giving them the superbill. I can provide that to you weekly, biweekly or monthly.

How often do I need to come to therapy?

I recommend weekly therapy for all of my clients. I do have a select number of “every other week” openings in my schedule if that is the only option your schedule permits. I am a strong believer of people not needing to be in therapy “forever.” My goal is to help you make progress toward the treatment goals we make together and the quickest and most effective way to do that is through consistent weekly sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically set aside for you, a minimum of 24 hours is required for re-scheduling or cancellation. If you cancel within the 24-hour period, you are responsible to pay the full session fee. This is due to the chances being lowered for Kelsey to be able to fill the scheduled spot with another individual on such short notice.

What is a good faith estimate?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
